Our Vision, Our Story
At INVG Wellness, we believe in the power of simple, time-honoured techniques as part of modern self-care.
Acupressure and gua sha come from long traditions in Chinese medicine. Here is an honest overview of how we approach them — what these practices are, where they come from, and how to explore them gently at home.
Acupressure
A traditional practice
Acupressure involves applying gentle, non-invasive pressure to specific points on the body. In the traditional understanding of Chinese medicine, these points sit along channels known as meridians, through which Qi — vital energy — is said to flow.
Acupressure has attracted modern research interest, but studies vary widely in design, setting and population, and findings from clinical research cannot simply be transferred to home self-care products. We prefer to be straightforward: our tools are for self-care, not treatment.
What we can promise is honesty — clear instructions, careful safety guidance, and tools made from materials we are proud of. Many people simply find the ritual itself calming and enjoyable.
Gua Sha
A traditional technique, explained honestly
Gua sha is a long-standing practice from Chinese medicine involving slow, gentle strokes across oiled skin with a smooth-edged tool. On the face it is used with feather-light pressure as part of a mindful skincare ritual.
In the traditional understanding, gua sha is said to support the smooth flow of Qi and blood. We present this as tradition, not as an established biomedical mechanism — and we would rather you explore the practice for the way it feels: slow, tactile and grounding.
