INVG Scarab Tool

Introducing The INVG Scarab — a precision acupressure tool designed by Jude, a licensed BSc acupuncturist, and crafted from turned walnut wood and polished brass. Every detail, from the placement of the ten brass spheres on the underside to the weight and shape of the handle, comes from real clinical experience. Compact and ergonomic, it fits comfortably in your hand and can be used anywhere for focused, effective acupressure.

The Scarab features ten solid brass spheres on the underside for precise acupressure, and two larger hollow brass ball ends at the top designed for broader, lighter contact on bigger muscle groups. Because each Scarab is handmade, small seams where the brass meets the wood are a natural feature of the construction.

Use the INVG Scarab to:

  • Ease muscular tension and stiffness

  • Stimulate key acupressure points and meridians

  • Encourage circulation and lymphatic flow

  • Support relaxation and energy balance

Inspired by the precision of traditional Eastern tools, each brass sphere helps invigorate Qi (energy) and awaken the body’s natural healing pathways. Ideal for practitioners and home use alike, this tool is both functional and elegant — a timeless piece for your wellness collection.

Safety & Usage Guidance

How to Use Safely

The INVG Scarab is designed for acupressure — applying focused, firm-but-gentle pressure to specific points on the face, scalp, hands, and body. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Start with light pressure and gradually increase to a comfortable level
  • Avoid pressing directly on the eyes, throat, or any open wounds
  • Do not use on inflamed, broken, or sunburned skin
  • If you feel sharp pain at any point, ease off — acupressure should feel like a deep, satisfying pressure, not pain

Brass is a natural metal that reacts with skin oils and moisture. During use, you may notice a dark residue on the skin — this is normal oxidisation and is not harmful. Simply wipe the tool before each use and cleanse your skin afterwards. For best results, avoid using on oily skin without wiping first.

If you have a medical condition or are pregnant, consult a healthcare practitioner before use.

Research

(Educational information, not medical advice.)

  • Growing evidence for acupressure: Peer-reviewed studies report that acupressure can reduce perceived pain and stress and promote relaxation compared with no-treatment controls in a variety of settings.
  • Well-studied points & techniques: Research around commonly used points (e.g., forearm and wrist regions) shows benefits for comfort and ease when pressure is applied consistently and correctly.
  • Low-barrier, self-care friendly: Reviews highlight acupressure as a gentle, low-risk approach that people can perform themselves to support overall wellbeing between professional treatments.

If you’re new to acupressure, start gently and listen to your body. For medical concerns, always speak with a qualified professional.

Care Guide

After each use
Wipe the brass ends with a soft, dry cloth before and after use. If you've used oil or balm, gently buff it away so residue doesn't build up.

Important — brass and skin contact
Brass is a living metal that naturally reacts with skin oils, sweat, and moisture. You may notice a dark mark on the skin during or after use — this is normal oxidisation and is completely harmless. Wipe the tool before each session and cleanse skin afterwards. For best results, avoid using on heavily oiled skin without wiping first. If you have a known sensitivity to copper or brass, patch test on a small area before full use.

Occasional clean
If needed, lightly dampen a cloth with warm water and a drop of mild soap. Wipe the brass only, then dry immediately. Do not soak the tool or allow water to touch the walnut handle.

For tarnish on the brass
A small amount of toothpaste on a cloth can be used to gently polish the brass. Wipe clean and dry well.

Storage
Store in a dry place, ideally in its pouch, away from humidity. Do not wash or soak the walnut handle. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

The patina that develops on brass over time is a natural characteristic of the material — it shows your Scarab is being well used.
