• Avoid use directly over the fontanelle (soft spot) on infants or young children. Keep out of reach of children.

• If you are pregnant, have a blood clotting disorder, are taking blood-thinning medication, or have a diagnosed scalp condition, consult your healthcare provider before use.

Research

(Educational information, not medical advice.)

  • Growing evidence for acupressure: Peer-reviewed studies report that acupressure can reduce perceived pain and stress and promote relaxation compared with no-treatment controls in a variety of settings.
  • Well-studied points & techniques: Research around commonly used points (e.g., forearm and wrist regions) shows benefits for comfort and ease when pressure is applied consistently and correctly.
  • Low-barrier, self-care friendly: Reviews highlight acupressure as a gentle, low-risk approach that people can perform themselves to support overall wellbeing between professional treatments.

If you’re new to acupressure, start gently and listen to your body. For medical concerns, always speak with a qualified professional.

Care Guide

Your INVG Scarab is crafted from natural walnut wood and solid brass. With a little care, it will age beautifully and last for years.

After each use
Wipe the brass ends with a soft, dry cloth. If you’ve used oil or balm, gently buff it away so residue doesn’t build up.

Occasional clean
If needed, lightly dampen a cloth with warm water and a drop of mild soap. Wipe the brass only, then dry immediately.

Do not soak the tool or allow water to touch the walnut handle.

For tarnish on the brass
A small amount of toothpaste on a cloth can be used to gently polish the brass. Wipe clean and dry well.

Important

  • Do not wash or soak the walnut handle in water.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, acids, or abrasive cleaners.
  • Store in a dry place, ideally in its pouch, away from humidity.

Natural patina on the brass is normal and part of its character – it’s a sign your Scarab is being loved and used.

This is incredible for your scalp. I’m big into gua sha and have tons of tools I’ve collected for years and nothing has worked this well on my scalp. I could feel the blood start flowing as it warmed up pretty fast.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying the tool and that it has become a favorite in your scalp routine. Your love of gua sha makes this feedback especially meaningful!

Not thrilled

Unfortunately I wasn’t thrilled with the resin comb. I find it a bit awkward to pull through my hair and the very large teeth of the comb don’t feel as stimulating as I thought they would. I’m going to offer it to my daughter and hopefully she’ll like it.

Hi Adrienne,

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I'm sorry the resin comb didn't hit the mark for you.

The wide teeth are designed for a broader, more relaxing glide across the scalp rather than a deep scratch, which is a different sensation to a standard hairbrush and won't suit everyone. It's really helpful to hear when that doesn't land as expected.

I hope your daughter enjoys it more. If she'd prefer something with a different feel, or if there's anything else we can help with, just reply to this email and we'll sort it out.

Warm wishes,
INVG Wellness

Massage comb

Feels like when you brush your hair, you go from front to back,my head felt very bumpy& tight, the comb made me notice this

Thank you, Melody. That bumpy, tight feeling you noticed is so often where the head holds tension, and the comb is a lovely way to bring awareness there. Go gently and enjoy it. Warm wishes, Jude
