Our Story
From the time I was just six months old, my mum would take me for Japanese acupuncture to help with everything from headaches to stress management. She discovered a technique that involved gently scraping various metal tools along acupuncture channels, activating the meridians without ever using needles. It was an ideal approach for me as a young child—I was quite wary of needles at that age. I continued with this non-invasive form of treatment until I was about nine, when I finally moved on to traditional acupuncture with needles.
Growing up around these methods left a lasting impression, and I longed to create something that would make acupressure easy and accessible for everyone. That’s how the INVG AcuPen came to life. After a good deal of trial and error, we found that 100% brass was the perfect material—it’s both sturdy and heavy enough to reduce the effort needed for applying pressure, and it warms up quickly, which helps transfer soothing heat to the area.
The AcuPen has two different ends: a smaller tip for precise work around more sensitive spots (like the jaw, ears, or near the eyes), and a larger, weighted tip for broader areas of the body, such as the back of the head, neck, and shoulders. As an acupuncturist practising here in the UK, I know so many people want to integrate this ancient healing art into their daily lives but can’t always visit a practitioner. My aim is to fill that gap.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Your support means the world to me, and together we can bring the wisdom of ancient medicine into homes everywhere.
